Woody Allen Announces Midnight In Paris Cast
Woody Allen has announced the cast for his next film after You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, Midnight in Paris. The film will star Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody, Carla Bruni, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen and Owen Wilson.
Movieweb says:
Midnight in Paris is a romantic comedy that follows a family travelling to the city for business. The party includes a young engaged couple that has their lives transformed throughout the journey. The film celebrates a young man’s great love for Paris, and simultaneously explores the illusion people have that a life different from their own is better
That cast just screams excellence, which is precisely what Allen’s fanbase has come to expect from him. I feel a little uneasy about Owen Wilson, but the presensce of Adrian Brody and Marion Cotillard more than makes up for it. Cotillard was the best thing about Inglorious Basterds, my favorite film of 2009. Hearing about her getting more roles in Hollywood puts a smile on my face.
Brody has really been stepping up his game this year, and I anticipate Midnight in Paris being the sweet chaser to my hard Splice-and-Predators double shot.
Cheers.
